Annmarie Austin

I'm a user experience designer based in Vancouver, Canada. Throughout my 6+ years at Apple, I've gained a deep understanding of the nuances that contribute to exceptional user experiences. From helping customers understand and troubleshoot products to designing onboarding materials for team members, I've curated my approach to resonate with users while connecting business needs.

As a bridge between consumers and technology, I've witnessed both the delight and frustration users experience when learning new processes. This dichotomy inspired my journey in user experience design. I’ve learned UX/UI concepts through online courses, applying and refining my skills through design projects in industries including Web3, crypto products, and e-commerce.

I believe meaningful educational experiences begin with empathizing with the learner or user. This involves delving into their needs and learning styles, understanding their motivations, uncovering the reasons behind their feelings, and determining how I can present a product in a manner that truly benefits them. By empathizing with users, I not only acknowledge their frustrations but also align with their goals, ensuring that my designs resonate effectively.
